At this time of year the concept of giving thanks for who and what we have seems to have new meaning, new focus. I suppose my question is why? Are we only thankful for what we have on Thanksgiving Day? In researching this, I found several studies that show that people who express gratitude daily, by practicing a life of gratitude, were happier, were more resilient, were healthier and had less stress. So why can’t we make it a habit of telling everyone in our life how special they are, how important they are? Why can’t we say “Thank You” to all the people that we don’t even know that touch our lives daily? Is it a matter of not having the words? Is it the many everyday stresses that make it difficult to show our gratitude? Personally, I have so much to be thankful for.
So I would encourage everyone to let your feelings control your thankfulness. Be thankful for what you do have, not disheartened by what you don’t. Always be aware of your blessings and learn to be thankful no matter what the circumstance!
From everyone at your PRC (Revco Solutions) family, we wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving!
